The purpose of the Wendell United Methodist Women is to work with the district organization and other local units to develop a program to meet the needs and interests of women and the concerns and responsibilities of the global church; to encourage and support spiritual growth, missionary outreach and Christian social action; and to promote the plans and responsibilities of METHODIST WOMEN.
This organization is open to all women who express an interest in the programs of Methodist Women.
Members are encouraged to participate in all circle meetings, which are the first Tuesday following the first Sunday of each month, unless that date falls on a holiday.

Our meetings begin at 7:30pm and are currently held in the new fellowship hall. We support many church functions throughout the year. We encourage all Methodist Women to attend our meetings and become an active member.

The Woven Prayers Ministry is a group of knitters and crotchetier who devote time in prayer, give of their talents, and share their faith with people who are in need. This group knits and crochets prayer shawls for people who are suffering the loss of a loved one, battling a serious illness, going through trying times, or celebrating blessings. We strive to share our faith in Christ, our love for God’s people, and to be servants to one another.
The group meets monthly at the church. Anyone interested in becoming a part of this group may contact the church or Cathy Griner at cgriner@mindspring.com. Additional information about prayer shawls may be found at www.shawlministry.com
